Developing a Long-Term Vision to Unlock Alabama’s Potential
Alabama Poverty Project has coordinated a summer workshop program featuring several speakers.
Keynote Address: “Cultivating a State of Readiness” by Jon Mason, Director of Serve Alabama: The Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Volunteer Service. Followed by “Alabama’s Civic Health Index” by Cristin Foster of the David Mathew Center for Civic Life. Then “House United: Alabama and Auburn Come Together to Rebuild Alabama” by Ralph Foster, Director of Public Service at Auburn University. Finally, “Be Prepared: Students Advocate for Storm Readiness” by Phi Theta Kappa of Northwest-Shoals Community College, Phil Campbell Campus.
