The Haps way: get social and give back to Birmingham
While many of the pop-up events are designed to be smaller, more intimate social gatherings (inasmuch as a skydiving trip can be intimate!), The Haps also plans larger charity benefits to help local nonprofit organizations. Their primary ethos revolves around bringing Birmingham residents together to discover the great things our city has to offer while helping less fortunate people along the way.

This weekend experience The Vagina Monologues!
For the first time in five years, The Vagina Monologues is returning to the UAB campus. Students and alumni will present Eve Ensler’s renowned play for two nights only. Proceeds from the performance will benefit Rape Response at the Crisis Center of Birmingham.

March to honor BSC student’s contribution to the Civil Rights Movement
On Wednesday, April 24th, BSC classes from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. have been cancelled to honor the legacy of the Marti Turnipseed. As a student during the Civil Rights Movement, she defied the BSC administration and participated in a lunch counter sit-in which resulted in her dismissal from the school.
